Equine Assisted Services

Our Equine Assisted Services include activities utilizing horses where participants learn foundational social and emotional skills to help enhance their well-being and interpersonal relationships. Our curriculums utilizes equine therapy concepts integrated with social emotional learning (SEL) principles that help youth to address mental health and social challenges that traditional methods may not accomplish alone.

Our programs include:

  • Beyond Horsemanship

  • Equine Assisted Learning

  • Equine Assisted Psychotherapy

These programs are facilitated in an individual and group setting and can benefit individuals, families, community groups, schools and organizations, corporate entities, and more! Due to the indoor setting of the Blazer Foundation Therapeutic Learning Arena we are able to offer these programs year round.

“Why Horses?”

Equine Assisted Services are successful due to horses’ natural ability to pick up on human emotion, expression, and needs. Horses are exceptionally patient, perceptive, and highly attuned to their environment, allowing them to detect and mirror human moods in a non-judgmental manner. As a person interacts and bonds with the horse, self-awareness occurs, and emotional healing starts to begin.

Horses have an incredible ability to bring out the best in people. Their sensitivity to human emotions makes them perfect partners in therapy, helping individuals to process and overcome deep-seated trauma.
