The Rockford Park District plays an integral role in providing a safe and inclusive setting for youth to learn and grow. Together with our partners and donors, we built the Perks Family Equine Center at Lockwood Park. This facility is dedicated to expanding our outreach by meeting the social and emotional needs of the youth in our community. At the Perks Family Equine Center we offer a variety of Equine Assisted Services with horses as the centerpiece of our programs. Our programs are created with the belief that all participants have the tools and skills needed to guide their own growth and learning while our team simply creates the environment needed to support those goals.
